Who We Are
Charles "Chazz" Pratt III is a former U.S. Army Captain who made the Military-to-Civilian career transition in 1994. In his book, The Fort Living Room Transition Course, he shares valuable tips & tricks and all you need to help you succeed. Since his transition from the military, he's worked for several Fortune 500 companies, including Pfizer, Genentech, and St. Jude Medical, among others. In his own words, "The military teaches you a lot. You get the best training in the world. You stretch your personal limits and lead teams under extreme circumstances in war and peacetime. However, you do almost everything in the military as a team. But, when it comes to getting out of the military, that's mostly an individual task that you must take ownership of. It's tough!" He's taken risks with exciting career opportunities only to experience; layoffs, passed up for promotion, corporate restructuring, etc. He's also received numerous awards and recognition in these same companies. His goal is to take a closer look at how you can leverage your military experiences AND let you peek behind the civilian curtain and learn how to successfully navigate the Military-to-Civilian career transition.
